History of Istrian Culture
Socerb Castle lies in the village with the same name only 20 minutes from Koper. Socerb Castle is perched on the edge of a 300 meters high Karst rock and offers a wonderful view on to the Trieste Gulf.
We will visit Hrastovlje village as well. There is an ancient castle that defended the village before Turkish invasions in the middle age. Famous scene is in the church of the Holy Trinity, where is the wall of medieval frescoes, painted by Dance of Death. The excursion ends with the return drive to the pier.
